hash 740 - away hash to Dhermi

We did this two years ago and it was great! Here's the plan:

PLACE: The beautiful and unspoiled beach at Dhermi, about one hour from Vlore and about 4 hours from Tirana.

DATES: Friday, May 22 through Monday, May 25. Arrive Friday night or Saturday morning. Depart Sunday or Monday.

HOTEL: Drymades Beach Hotel. They have bungalows on the beach. Call POC Tiku 069 370 6795 for reservations.

Prices per room (including breakfast):

Double room – 3000 leke a night
3-bed-room – 4000 leke a night
4-bed-room – 5000 leke a night

CAMPING: Lots of room west of the hotel. However, there are NO public facilities like toilets and fresh water - you will have to bring your own.

PARAGLIDING: If the wind is right (from the southeast) this is probably the best paragliding site in Albania!

TRANSPORTATION: If you are not driving, find a seat in someone's car. Alternatively, if someone wants to organize a bus, let me know and I'll put your contact information here. If you can provide transportation, please email me (tiranahash@gmail.com) with your planned travel schedule and a phone number or email address where ride seekers can contact you. I will post your information here.

FOOD, BEER, DRINKS: Bring your own or buy it from the hotel or local stores. The hash will NOT provide beer (no way to keep it cold!) except for ceremonial purposes.

8:00 AM depart Tirana
12:00 arrive Dhermi (lunch on your own)
2:00 hash 740 - Dhermi
6:00 lamb on the spit, beef and sausage on the grill; veggies and fruit-buffet style. Open buffet – eat as much as you can for 1500 leke a person
9:00 bonfire, drunken orgy and virgin sacrifice

Sunday, May 24

10:00 visit to cave near Dhermi
- or - drive to Porto Palermo to visit a castle
- or - drive to Himare for a great fish dinner and visit to another castle
- or - explore a famous cove
- or - hike west along the Karaburun Penninsula
2:00 depart for Tirana
