HARES: BeerSkuller
WHERE: This is a little farther out but well worth the drive, particularly as the mountain flowers begin to bloom. It's in the valley behind the eastern range of mountains, a few miles north of Mt. Dajti and east of the airport. Drive time is about 1:15.
DIRECTIONS: Follow the Durres road to the fork (beginning of the new four-lane highway going to Durres). Take the RIGHT fork, not the one to Durres, but the one to Kamez and Fushe Kruje. From the fork, go 3.5 km toward Fushe Kruje and turn right on the paved road to Zall Herr. If you get lost, ask for directions to the military Commando Regiment or to Bovila reservoir. Keep going as the road gets progressively worse. The hare will meet you at the river crossing.
DESCRIPTION: Beautiful mountain reservoir. There is a gravel road for walkers, while the runners will climb on difficult but very rewarding and exciting terrain.
