DIRECTIONS: Go south on the Elbasan highway to Ibe. Turn left at the big rock (also sign for the "Kame" restaurant). Follow the road until you see the hares.
DESCRIPTION: This is an ancient cave with stalactites, stalagmites, and all kinds of interesting rock formations which turn into scary monsters in the pitch blackness of the cave. I was told the cave is 350 meters long, but you probably won’t go in that far.
Note: Bring a FLASHLIGHT and clothes and shoes you don't mind getting dirty. It's pitch black in the cave and pretty muddy and slippery in some spots.
This will be a long hash, but well worth it. Walkers will take at least an hour each way to the cave. The trail in spots is narrow and might be a little scary for some. Not recommended for parents with kids in backpacks, although the kids on their own will probably do better than their parents!

A note on safety for those who have never been in a cave before:
* it WILL be slippery in the cave, almost from the start and also in a couple of steep places inside, so DO wear shoes that you trust.
* If you have problems with orientation in darkness, stay with other people and be aware if the others are leaving.
* The dogs last year got a bit scared in the pitch black of the cave and were pulling to go out; keep it in mind if your dog is particularly nervous.
* If you fall on your expensive camera, you'll need Beerskuller's extra strong gluhwein to forget it :)
Lastly, ENJOY! It's one of the best hashes I've ever been in, and it is worth the challenge!
