hash 704 - DOUBLE HASH: Pellumbas cave and Erzeni river splash

WHERE: the magnificent Pellumbas cave, returning through the Erzeni river canyon

DIRECTIONS: Go south on the Elbasan highway to Ibe. Turn left at the big rock (also, there’s a sign for the "Kame" restaurant). Follow the road until you see the parked cars.

Note: Bring a FLASHLIGHT and clothes and shoes you don't mind getting dirty. It's pitch black in the cave and pretty muddy and slippery in some spots. If you will be returning through the river, bring a waterproof container or baggie to protect your camera, cookies, etc. – they WILL get wet!

Hashers will have a choice of three routes:
- trail to the cave, descend to the river, swim back
- trail to and from the cave
- go straight to the river and forget about the cave.

This will be a long hash, but well worth it. Walkers will take at least an hour each way to the cave. The trail is narrow in spots and might be a little scary for some. Not recommended for parents with kids in backpacks.
